RIDE ENGINE innovated the hard-shell harness design & now they are being widely copied. Flattering for sure. Hard shell harnesses spread the load better, stay in location better & last longer than softer sewn harnesses.

Construction
Fiberglass or Carbon is used to mold a hard shell which is then glued to their proprietary foam backing. Next the harness is sewn to a traditional fabric. Velcro locking cummerbund, stainless steel leash rings, nylon buckles & heavy duty webbing complete the quality construction.

Spreader Bars
RIDE ENGINE pioneered the hook-less spreader. Instead of a hook you just open your chicken-loop & close it over the rope. This enables your loop to slide left & right for surf-style riding. Plus it shortens your distance to the bar meaning max-depower is 2-3” closer than before. Sweet.
